What Our Clients Say

It is my pleasure to offer my highest recommendation for Arlene Maynard. I had the privilege of working with Arlene as our Newborn Care Specialist following the birth of our second daughter, and she supported our family for twelve weeks in 2026. From the very beginning, Arlene provided an exceptional level of care, professionalism, and reassurance during a critical postpartum period.

Her overnight support allowed my husband and me to get much-needed rest, knowing our daughter was in the hands of an experienced and compassionate professional. In addition to providing outstanding newborn care, Arlene consistently went above and beyond by washing bottles and pump parts, assisting with infant bathing, and helping maintain a calm and organized environment during those early weeks.

With more than 27 years of experience, Arlene brings an extraordinary depth of knowledge to her work. Although I was already a second-time mother, I learned a tremendous amount from her. She was always patient, thoughtful, and generous with her expertise, answering countless questions and helping us navigate challenges with confidence.

Whether troubleshooting early breastfeeding and latch concerns, sharing evidence-based resources, suggesting schedules and routines, or recommending products that better met our needs, her guidance was invaluable. What sets Arlene apart is her ability to provide expert recommendations without ever imposing her personal philosophy. She respects each family’s unique parenting style and empowers parents to make informed decisions that feel right for them.

Beyond her professional qualifications, Arlene is a genuinely warm and caring person. The tenderness, respect, and affection she showed our daughter were truly remarkable. She quickly became a trusted member of our household, and her presence brought comfort and confidence during a time of significant transition.

Without reservation, I wholeheartedly recommend Arlene Maynard to any family seeking a knowledgeable, trustworthy, and exceptionally skilled Newborn Care Specialist. She has been one of the best investments we made during our postpartum journey, and I am deeply grateful for the care and support she provided to our family. Please feel free to contact me should you require any additional information.

Alexandra

I am delighted to provide this letter of reference for Arlene, who was a night nanny for my newborn twins. Her care, expertise, and dedication made an immeasurable difference for my family, and I recommend her wholeheartedly.

Arlene’s level of expertise cannot be overstated. She is exceptionally knowledgeable about sleep strategies, feeding techniques, and overall infant health and development. She is consistently up to date on the latest guidance and best practices from the AAP and other top specialists. She helped us navigate everything from product choices to daily routines, and we always had peace of mind when our babies were in her capable, caring hands.

Even more impressive, Arlene applies her wealth of knowledge with intuition and attentiveness. She often noticed things about our babies even before our pediatrician did, and she worked closely with us to address their specific needs. One meaningful example was when she identified a dairy sensitivity in our daughter and helped guide me through resolving it. The improvement in our daughter’s comfort and happiness was immediate and profound.

Caring for newborn twins requires a unique level of skill and organization, yet Arlene handled it with ease. She ensured both babies were always attended to with patience and warmth, and, remarkably, she established a synchronized feeding and sleeping schedule for them. This has been crucial to our family’s rhythm and sanity and has truly set us up for long-term success.

Arlene is also highly reliable and professional. She was always punctual, never missed a shift, and consistently left our home clean and organized. She integrated seamlessly into our household and was kind and gentle not only with our babies but also with our beloved dog.

As a first-time mom, I sometimes felt overwhelmed by conflicting information and advice. Arlene’s calm, experienced presence helped cut through the noise. She never imposed a one-sizefits-all approach and instead offered customized guidance in a way that felt supportive and empowering. She took the time to understand our babies’ unique needs and our goals as parents, making us feel like true partners in our babies’ care. Because of her, I feel far more confident in my own instincts as a mother.

We feel so fortunate to have had Arlene’s support during this special time. She has not only helped our babies thrive, but she has also given us the tools and confidence to continue that success moving forward. I recommend her without reservation to any family seeking outstanding, personalized newborn care.

I am writing to recommend Arlene if you are seeking night support for your little one(s). As firsttime parents, my husband and I were incredibly grateful for her deep knowledge, intuition, and steady presence during such a vulnerable and important time. She brought an exceptional level of expertise to this role and flagged several key issues that even lactation consultants and doulas had missed. Her guidance helped me avoid common pitfalls and gave me and my husband confidence that we were supporting our baby in the best possible way.

She was also an active teacher for things we were totally clueless on – bathtime, bottle feeding, pumping and more. She was always punctual, reliable, and calm, and she truly has a gift with babies. Our son had barely started smiling when he quickly recognized her and would smile when he saw her. She consistently got our son down quickly and smoothly at night, whether she was giving a bottle or settling him after I had] breastfed.

One thing that really stood out to me was how supportive she was of my desire to keep breastfeeding for as long as possible, while also ensuring our son knew how to take a bottle so that I could eventually have some freedom. She asked me what my goals were early on, and once she understood that it was to breastfeed, she helped us maintain our feeding goals and offered thoughtful, evidence-based guidance on when and how to introduce a bottle. She also went above and beyond by sharing helpful lists of what to get pre-baby, as well as PDFs on infant schedules once he arrived, and then after seeing that those schedules weren’t totally aligning with our son’s behaviors, brought me a different book that was better tailored to ondemand breastfeeding mothers. The book ended up being incredibly relevant and reassuring for me.

Her support extended far beyond the nights she worked. She empowered us with knowledge, confidence, and practical tools that we continue to use. Any family would be lucky to have her care for their baby, and for you to get some sleep! I recommend her without hesitation.

We were lucky to hire Arlene for overnight care during our first 12 weeks of parenthood following
the birth of our first child from mid August to early November 2025. She was instrumental in
helping us build a strong foundation as new parents, supporting mom in her postpartum recovery
and educating mom in establishing a healthy breastfeeding routine for our newborn.

Arlene brought a wealth of knowledge and experience into our home when it came to caring for
our newborn. She knew and communicated the milestones we should be looking for, designed
and updated nap schedules for us to implement over the course of our 12 weeks together,
provided updates every morning on how the previous night went and proactively suggested
small tweaks along the way to support our child’s growth and development. She worked together
with us to create a consistent environment for our child.

Working with Arlene was very smooth. She was always on time (early more often than not) and
brought a warm and friendly demeanor each evening. Most importantly, our child was very
comfortable with her and would routinely greet her with big smiles whenever she arrived!

If you’re looking for a reliable, knowledgeable and caring NCS for your baby, you will have a
wonderful experience working with Arlene!

Garrett & Katie

I am writing to highly recommend Arlene Maynard as a night nurse. She was an incredibly valuable member of our childcare team for over three months, and we could not have navigated the beginnings of parenthood without her. Arlene is an incredibly professional, patient, and caring individual who has a passion for infants.

Arlene’s warm and motherly demeanor immediately put our son and us (his parents) at ease. She met him at his current level of development throughout her time with us – whether this be frequent night wakings for feeding, comforting in those early days of numerous wakings and eventually moving to helping him develop excellent sleep habits. At her time of departure our four-month-old son was often sleeping ten hour or more stretches.

Additionally, Arlene is an indispensable resource when it comes to infant knowledge. Our son suffered from bouts of reflux/gas during the first several months and Arlene helped us make him more comfortable during feedings and sleep. During the latter part of her contract, Arlene discussed ways to ensure healthy sleep in a way that fit our parenting and lifestyle. She is an excellent sounding board for first time parent questions and concerns all while making one feel confident in their decisions.

We are saddened that our time with Arlene has come to an end but are feeling confident about navigating this next step of parenthood due to her imparted knowledge. Please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or email if you would like any additional information; I would be happy to share.

I genuinely give Arlene Maynard my recommendation as a reliable, trustworthy, knowledgeable and kind
caregiver for your children. My husband and | found Arlene through a friend of ours who employed her to
care for her twins for six months. We hired her as a night nurse for 9 weeks from December 2018 through
January 2019 so we could get extra sleep and enjoy both of our children during the day. She helped us
transition into a family of four when we brought home our second son. A new baby can be a hard
transition for a toddler, and while Arlene’s responsibility was to the new baby, we appreciated her warm
and fun presence around our other son as well.

It is hard to choose someone that you will trust with your newborn and we found that Arlene not only has
so much knowledge about babies, but also truly loves them. | was always able to rest easy and never
doubted the care that Arlene was providing at night. She’s really knowledgeable about all the
developmental milestones they go through and helped prepare us for what’s to come. | also relied on her
insights regarding sleeping and eating to ensure we were establishing good habits for day and nighttime.

Arlene is extremely professional, never once arriving late. She was very courteous to all of us and
respected our privacy; always showing a nice balance of personal and professional integrity.

Myra

This letter is in reference to Arlene Maynard. Arlene worked with our family from September to December 2018 as our newborn specialist for our twin girls. Arlene is caring, professional and incredibly knowledgeable. Arlene was with us when our twins came home from the NICU and was instrumental in this transition. She was an invaluable resource with her knowledge of newborn care, feeding and sleep scheduling. Arlene is very knowledgeable about newborn care and adapts her methods to families and the infants with whom she works.

While this can be a very overwhelming time, Arlene helps coach families during this transition. She is professional and courteous. During her time with us Arlene was always on time and ready to work with our twins from the moment she came in. In the mornings she would provide a report of the night with suggestions for the coming day. Arlene also has lactation experience and offered great encouragement and support to breastfeed. She is very adaptable and can work in many environments.

Most importantly, Arlene is loving and nurturing to the families and children with whom she works. Our daughters were excited to see Arlene each night and shared some of their first smiles with her.

I recommend Arlene without any reservations and would be happy to speak with families for further reference.

Briana

Words cannot express how much we love Arlene and how highly we recommend her. I am not a first time mom so when we hired Arlene I was not overly concerned with being taught or guided through the newborn stage because we already have two daughters. When we found out we were pregnant (with TWINS) I immediately began to worry that I would never sleep again…or be able to care for our older girls and two newborns…so I hired Arlene to work as a night nurse so that I would be able to rest at night and tackle each day as best as possible. Never in a million years did I expect to be taught EVERYTHING I never knew about babies when Arlene arrived.

Arlene is the most knowledgable person I have ever met when it comes to the ways of these little ones. She can read them like a book and always knows whats best for them. She uses her experience and science along with her unmatched ability to understand babies to provide the best of care. Our twins were born a month early and their digestive systems took a little while to fully develop. Arlene knew exactly how to care for them during this time. She helped me to get the babies on a feeding schedule and gave me suggestions and advice on routines that I will forever be grateful for. Her professionalism is completely unmatched. She is trustworthy, hardworking and so easy to talk to.

Above and beyond all this was the love, care and warmth Arlene brought to our home. She loved Samantha and Charlotte like they were her own. She spent countless hours soothing them and her patience with twins is unbelievable. Our older daughters would wait by the door for Arlene to arrive each evening. And my husband and I made it through the scary transition from two to four daughters with sanity and HAPPINESS because of Arlene. Being able to wake each morning to happy, rested, fed and cleaned babies kept me going during the days of learning how to navigate through life with four kids. My only regret in hiring her was not booking her for a longer stay. The day she left for her next job was the first time I cried after the babies were born. If you have the opportunity to hire Arlene, you and your family will never regret it.

Jenny

I whole heartedly give Arlene Maynard my highest recommendation as a reliable, trustworthy, knowledgable and kind caregiver for your children. My husband Anderson Libert and I employed her from June to November 2017. She was instrumental in helping us transition into family-of-four life starting the day we arrived home from the NICU with our preemie twins. She was employed with us as a baby nurse for the first two weeks and then transitioned into a night nurse role. She was such a valued employee that we decided to extend her contract an extra 6 weeks from our original agreement of 16 weeks!

Arlene is extremely professional, never once arriving late – not even by a minute – which matters after a very long day with twins. She was always very courteous to my husband, our guests and me, and she respected our privacy. She maintains a high level of personal and professional integrity.

Arlene has tremendous knowledge about newborns and babies; I often relied on her insights over our doctor’s when it came to feeding, sleeping, milestones and development. She answered countless questions for me, relying on her two decades of experience as a night nurse – specializing in twins – as well as relying on the countless books she has read. She stays up-to-date on current recommendations like those from the AAP as well as sleep training methodologies. If she wasn’t sure of the answer to a question, often she would research for me and report back in the morning.

Arlene was very patient with my interest in breastfeeding, which is challenging for twin moms, and was supportive of all decisions I made. She was also patient with my interest in providing a non-toxic/organic environment in our home. If the babies needed a certain product, she would help me research an organic version of the product. On that note – I thought I was prepared with all the baby things I needed prior to their arrival but boy was I wrong; Arlene guided us towards all the little and big things to make our lives easier, from recommending better bottles to twin-specific feeding gear.

Most importantly, Arlene was absolutely amazing with our babies. A tired, screaming baby would turn quiet and content once in her care. She expertly and patiently fed them every 3 hours at night those first couple of months. She was the first to notice when our son had a fever and coached this worried parent through what to do next. Thanks to Arlene’s sleep training methods, our babies now sleep 12 hours at night, wake up quiet and patiently waiting for us in the morning, and are very content with an easy-tomanage schedule of eating every 4 hours during the day. Even our friends of single babies are quiet jealous of this schedule!

Jessica

Arlene Maynard has worked with my twins from April 27th until the present. She is very knowledgeable about twins and common issues with them. She is warm, friendly and loving to my twins. She also is very kind to my 22-year-old son and always shows interest in him. She is organized and typically has a plan of action to help my twins sleep and feed well. She shows initiative and comes to my house with ideas on tackling issues such as reflux, constipation, typical feeding and sleeping, and scheduling problems that accompany multiples. She is mature, responsible, accommodating, and always prompt. She is supportive to me as a new mother to twins, which is greatly appreciated.

I highly recommend Arlene as a newborn care specialist for any family who is fortunate to employ her.

Kathleen

I am writing this letter on behalf of Arlene Maynard. I recently had my first child and the idea of a baby nurse was a bit foreign to me. I was apprehensive about trusting the care of my most precious possession to someone I hardly knew. Once the decision was made to go ahead and find someone for this position, Arlene’s name came flooding out of many friends and acquaintances’ mouths.

I interviewed quite a few other people before I had even spoken with the highly recommended candidate that was Arlene. I found some seemingly qualified applicants; however, none of them gave me that secure feeling I was searching for, that is, until I called Arlene. I spoke with her over the phone and instantly felt a connection with her. Her energy was pleasant and professional, making me feel at ease right away. She even began teaching me things during that very first phone call! I was sold the moment we began speaking and it was no surprise to the friends that referred her that she was the perfect selection.

The second she arrived at my home, Arlene carried with her not only her personal items but also an air of confidence and humility that I found very comforting. She took immediately to my son and, even as young as he was, he took an extreme liking to her as well. She has a very gentle way about her that was quite soothing to both Samson (my son) and myself. She began helping immediately, getting the lay of the land, showing me a few techniques, and even helped me with the baby’s laundry right away!

She stayed with us for a few weeks and really made my transition into motherhood a super pleasant, informative and fun one! Besides being a wonderful caretaker of children, she is a terrific person as well. She is very well educated, articulate, super nice, and very easy to talk to.

She taught me so much that I will take with me throughout my son’s growth and into the next phase of motherhood. If I could have kept her longer, I would have jumped on the chance! Arlene Maynard is the perfect choice for your baby nurse. You will sing her praises for sure!

This letter is in reference to Ms. Arlene Maynard, who has been my triplets’ night baby nurse for about 9 weeks. My triplets (2 boys named Ryan and Evan, and 1 girl named Noelle) were 9 weeks old when Arlene arrived in January of 2009. During that time Arlene has cared for the babies during 12 hour night shifts 3-times a week.

When Arlene arrives each night she ensures the triplets’ bottles are prepared for the next 24 hour period, she bathes the babies, and also does their laundry. Then whenever my husband and I wish to get some much needed rest, Arlene takes the babies and feeds them their last feeding of the night as well as any feedings that happen during the night/early morning.

Arlene is also a great listener and several times has helped me come up with a plan for the babies’ feeding and sleep schedules as they grow and their needs change. It’s really nice to have someone here who has experience caring for newborns so that I can ask questions and feel more confident as a first time mother. My husband and I also cannot thank Arlene enough for the uninterrupted sleep we are able to get while she is here. She truly is a life saver.

I believe any family with multiples would be lucky to have Arlene as their baby nurse.

Cynthia

Arlene Maynard has been in my employ since February 2, 2010 to the present. She began working for us as a baby nurse the day we brought my son home from the hospital. She worked 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the first two weeks and then 12-hour night shifts ever since. I highly recommend her as a baby nurse.

Arlene is a true professional. She has never been late or missed a day of work. She is incredibly experienced and well read. She is an expert who continues to update her knowledge with new literature and techniques. As first-time parents, my husband and I relied heavily on her knowledge. She helped us make the right decisions regarding our son’s sleep and feeding schedules. She also recommended fantastic toys and books that would stimulate my son’s intellect and development. Her experience as a lactation consultant and her training in infant massage was also quite helpful.

Beyond Arlene’s academic knowledge and general baby know-how, I would recommend her to anyone based on how much my son truly enjoys her company. Arlene is a very warm person who clearly loves children. She always puts my son’s best interests first. He loves his daily baths and massages as well as when she reads to him before bed. Over the course of nearly 10 weeks, my son has thrived in Arlene’s care. Furthermore, she has supported and trained my husband and me to be better parents and together we have celebrated my son’s growth and development. Arlene would be an amazing asset to any family or childcare team.

I am writing this letter in reference to Arlene Maynard, our current baby nurse.

Arlene has been with us since December 31, 2010 to present. Her hours are 24 hours per day, six days a week.

We cannot recommend Arlene enough to any parent-to-be of either multiples or a singleton. She is incredibly knowledgeable and very professional. It has been a pleasure having her in our home. She has proven to be a truly trustworthy, mindful and caring individual. Our twins were her 52nd set of twins. You cannot find her hours of experience anywhere, and she is still young. Arlene is wise beyond her years. She is very compassionate, loving and extremely well rounded. We not only consider Arlene a superb employee but we consider her a good friend.

Eileen

Arlene Maynard worked for us as a baby nurse in April/May of 2010. She worked out wonderfully for us. She came highly recommended by several acquaintances.

Our first-hand experience with Arlene was both a pleasure and educational. Arlene is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of baby care and was able to provide any kind of advice requested, from Weissbluth to Ferber to Gina Ford. She is well read and continually updating her vast store of knowledge on baby care.

Also, Arlene was professional to the utmost extent we could have possibly hoped for. During her stay with us, she notified us that she was not feeling her best, and that it could have been either a cold or allergies. Quite diligently, she arranged a substitute provider for us while she took a day to visit the doctor. As a parent of a newborn, we cannot emphasize how much we appreciated her professionalism and follow-through. It turned out to be just allergies, and everything worked out for us wonderfully.

We’re happy to have known Arlene, and recommend her highly to anyone considering her for employment.

Lucy & Stephen

Arlene Maynard provided baby nurse services for my male twins born July 27, 2011. Arlene provided such services for 16 weeks from July 31 through November 19.

Arlene’s duties included all care and support of my twins, including feeding, diapering, bathing, soothing, monitoring, bottle preparation, baby laundry, and sterilization of all bottles, nipples, and pumping equipment.
In addition to the above duties, Arlene provided advice and guidance on breastfeeding, gas and reflux, and sleep training. She also suggested helpful reading material.

I would recommend Arlene without reservation. For a first-time mom, she provided invaluable guidance and support. Her skills and knowledge are first-rate, and she is able to convey what she knows. She is very professional and cares very deeply about her job and the infants she looks after.

My experience with Arlene was extremely positive. My twins were healthy and happy and gained weight at an amazing rate (even though they suffered from bad reflux). Arlene had the twins sleep trained by week 13, including sleeping through the night and napping well.

Carrie

Arlene Maynard has cared for my infant son as his baby nurse for the past two months. She has provided him with an excellent quality of care. In addition, she has been a tremendous advisor to me on feeding, sleeping and other infant health issues. Arlene is not the first baby nurse who has worked with our family; therefore, I believe I have reasonable context in which to evaluate her contributions.

Arlene is extremely knowledgeable about newborns. Her knowledge is founded on both her deep practical experience and on staying up to speed on research, concepts and expert recommendations in the infant care space. If you have read a book about infant care, Arlene has read it too. I trust that my son is safe with Arlene not only because she is knowledgeable but also because she is realistic about her own limitations as a human being. No one can function well perpetually sleep-deprived. Arlene has been forthcoming when she feels she needs to rest first in order to care for my son safely. Knowing that my son is safe, I am delighted for him to spend time with Arlene because she is gentle, sweet and animated with babies.

For me Arlene has been a joy to be around. She is an excellent communicator, open to any and all questions a parent might have, and respectful regarding how parents ultimately choose to approach feeding, sleeping, etc. Her presence is calm, elegant and unobtrusive.

I recommend Arlene as a baby nurse without reservation. Please feel free to contact me if you need further information.

Katherine

Arlene Maynard was with our family for the month of February 2012. Arlene arrived on the evening I first came home from the hospital with our twin boys. As soon as she arrived, I knew I had made the right decision in hiring her. Arlene is extremely knowledgeable, a true professional and an absolute pleasure to be around. She had my boys on a 4-hour schedule by week two. In addition to being CPR certified, Arlene has taken courses in infant massage, breastfeeding and sleep training. Arlene is nurturing and always open to any questions. She truly understands newborns and is always calm, reliable and supportive.
